A true western equestrian. Most call them cowgirls, but they are all about their horses. Texas, Montana, and Oklahoma are where you think you will find them. They can be found all over the United States even in the Blue Ridge Mountains. This painting shows how this cowgirl is rugged ready, with arm protectors, leather chaps, spurs, and a hat to deflect the hot sun. Her handkerchief is there for many uses, but first off to keep the dust away from her face. She is ready for whatever could possibly go wrong. She overlooked a rifle or six shooter, didn’t want to offend anyone. But you never know when you might ride up on a bear or rattlesnake.
