I have actually lived this painting. As a child I would go with my mother to Uncle Brian and Aunt Bullar’s farm. My favorite place in the whole world. Aunt Bullar and my grandmother were sisters. Uncle Brian worked the farm. Rows of corn in huge fields, plowed by Nell or Bessie, with Uncle Brian behind holding the plow in the rows. We would have family gatherings and that is when all the cousins would pile onto the big work horse. Cousins from the beach, the city, and the country were all making memories to cherish a lifetime.
